McMullen Nolan and Partners Surveyors (McMullen Nolan) are pleased to announce their acquisition of Gerloff’s, a dynamic, mid-sized surveying business based in Port Hedland. |
Gerloff’s have been operating in and around Port Hedland for the past 15 years, and this acquisition will see McMullen Nolan develop a substantive aspect of their business in Western Australian’s North, primarily servicing the largest resources group in the world, BHP Billiton.
The Gerloff ’s team are enthused to join McMullen Nolan, an acknowledged leader in the provision of high value adding professional surveying capabilities, with a reputation for leading edge technological based solutions.
This strategic move has given McMullen Nolan further technical skills capability with the addition of 16 highly qualified and experienced surveyors, taking their team to in excess of 120 people across the State.
McMullen Nolan Chief Executive Officer, Mr Brett Goodridge comments:
“This acquisition is important to us. It expands our skills and competencies base via the employment of a large number of excellent people. It grows our revenues substantially and further commits us to the mining, engineering and resources infrastructure sector of the West Australian economy. It is a very exciting initiative.”
Another focus for McMullen Nolan in 2010 is to pursue land development opportunities in remote communities such as Port Hedland and Karratha via existing client relationships from both a land supply and the development perspective.
“It is our plan to further grow our business in this industrial sector, using our Port Hedland presence as the focal point. In doing this we intend looking for other opportunities outside the mining sector, such as land development and other related activities,” said Mr Goodridge.
“We are essentially developing another strategic cornerstone to our business, which traditionally has been almost exclusively based upon metro area land subdivisions.
“We plan to further leverage our brand and reputation into rapidly growing markets where our expertise and capabilities can provide leading edge, innovative solutions to industry whilst providing greater career development opportunities for our people.”
